Pennsy Supply Presents $2,500 Gift to the Capital Region Partnership for Career Development

July 16, 2015, Enola, PA: The Capital Region Partnership for CareerDevelopment (PCD) announced today that Stephanie Kratzer, representative fromPennsy Supply, presented a $2,500.00 gift to the organization at its July 15,2015 Advisory Council Meeting. Ms. Kratzer is the Human Resources Manager forthe Central Region of Pennsy Supply. She is an active member of the PCDAdvisory Council.

 Pennsy Supply is the leading manufacturer ofaggregate, sand, asphalt and concrete throughout the North and Central Regionsof Pennsylvania providing materials for commercial construction, infrastructuredevelopment and residential building. Serving the region for more than 90years, Pennsy Supply operates over 16 aggregate quarries, 2 underground mines,5 stone rail depots, 2 sand dredging operations, 12 asphalt plants and 6 readymix concrete plants.

“Pennsy Supply has defined itselfas a leader and model for Career and Workforce Development, and a dynamic andpassionate partner for PCD,” commented PCD Executive Director Lynda Morris.“They have not only supported us financially with their generous gifts, butthey have played an important role in the organization by creating and partneringwith us in student and educator Career Exploration Programs. Those CareerExploration programs are specifically dedicated to increasing awareness aboutthe many and varied career opportunities in the Construction Industry that areso very critical for Pennsylvania. They have demonstrated to mid-state studentsand educators that in an organization as large and comprehensive as PennsySupply, there are many career options in numerous fields, from EquipmentOperators to Logistics, from Drivers to HR Professionals and the range doesn’tstop there,” continued Ms. Morris. “But, the thing that I find most remarkableabout Pennsy is the feeling of family that permeates throughout theorganization. They foster a culture of collaboration and humanity that has mademe proud to say that we partner with this wonderful organization. We are trulythankful for their continued support of our programs and for the funding thatis necessary for us to continue to do this important work for our students. ”
