Natalie Frantz of Halifax High School Receives Third Annual Allen D. Quirk Jr. Excellence in Education Award

Natalie Frantz of the Halifax School District is the 2016 Allen D Quirk Scholarship recipient

ENOLA (February 9,2016) -Earlier today the Capital Region Partnership for Career Development (CRPCD) presentedits third annual Allen D. Quirk Jr. Excellence In Education Award to Natalie Frantz,a student at Halifax High School.


MissFrantz received a $1,000 scholarship to put towards her postsecondaryeducation.  The graduating senior plansto study for a career in nursing.  She isthe daughter of Jerry and Denise Frantz of Halifax.


“Itwas a challenging year, with many qualified scholarship applicants. The judgeshad a difficult decision to make, and it was a good one. Miss Frantz and herfamily should be very proud of her accomplishments. We wish her the very bestof luck pursuing her career,” remarked CRPCD Executive Director Lynda Morris.


TheAllen D. Quirk Jr. Excellence in Education Award was created by Mr. Allen D.Quirk Jr. of Harrisburg, PA to recognize an outstanding, well-rounded highschool senior who intends to pursue a postsecondary education and/or enlist inthe United States Armed Forces upon graduating from high school.  Mr. Quirk has been a supporter of the CapitalRegion Partnership for Career Development since its inception.  He started this scholarship to help ensurethat students succeed in their postsecondary pursuits.
