Partnership for Career Development Embarks on
New Chapter as Independent Nonprofit Organization
Affirms that aligning career readiness with needs of South Central PA employers key to strong recovery, prosperous future
The Partnership for Career Development, previously the in-school youth college and career readiness arm of South Central PA Works (SCPa Works), has established itself as an independent nonprofit organization.
"The time has come for us to embark on a new and exciting chapter,” said Lynda Morris, the Partnership’s CEO. “We recognize that we are undertaking this evolution during an unprecedented time; the intersection of a pandemic, an economic crisis and widespread mobilization for social justice. Likewise, we recognize that the work we do is profoundly critical – because of current conditions and in response to them. Aligning career readiness with the needs of South Central Pennsylvania employers is key to achieving a strong recovery in the short-term and ensuring a prosperous future for all in the long-term.”
In conjunction with its organizational change, the Partnership for Career Development is introducing a new logo identity. The icon in the logo conveys the joining of paths to reach a higher point, a point that can only be reached through partnership.
